Announcing Tennessee Songwriter’s Month 2027 Competition

The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development is once again coordinating the 2027 Tennessee Songwriter’s Month with a final event being held at the Bluebird Cafe.  The goal is to support music venues and songwriters with live performances across the state as well as to inspire Tennesseans and tourists to experience the state’s artists and music heritage.  

• For Tennessee Songwriters Month 2027,  Nobels is proud to announce it has again been accepted as a qualifying round venue to select winning songwriters who will advance to the showcase round at The Franklin Theater at the end of  February. 

The initial qualifying event at Nobels will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2027 at 6 pm on The Rainy Night Stage at Nobels. A winner will be selected based upon a scoring of song quality and performance,  and chosen to advance to the showcase round at The Franklin Theater in February. All songwriters must appear in one qualifying round.  Winners of the showcase round will perform at the BlueBird Cafe. 

Starting December 10, Nobel's qualifying round signups will open until all 15 songwriter slots are filled, or until January 30, 2027  at 6:00 PM CT. There will be a waiting list for any songwriter past the initial 15 signups.
